This wine is made of Nebbiolo coming from the most prestigious area of Langhe: Michet, Lampia and Rosè. The manual harvest in early october is followed by the grapes vinification: a forty days maceration at controlled temperature and the subsequent malolactic fermentation. After thirty-six months in the traditional large oak barrels, this Barolo spends other six months in the bottle for a final refinement. The name San Carlo pays tribute to the protector of the district where Dezzani has been based for more than eighty years. Production area Langhe Grape Nebbiolo Wine features The color is typically red garnet. The aromas are com-plex and elegant ranging from ripe red fruit and spices until “toasty and tar”. The flavor is gentle tannic, austere, full and velvety. Food pairing This great bottle is ideal with important first courses, roasts, game and hard cheeses but can also be a great sipping wine after dinner.
