100% Lagrein

Originally from the Gries area (in the nearby province of South Tyrol), this grape has found an excellent habitat in Trentino, particularly in the areas of S.Michele all’Adige, Mezzocorona, Mezzolombardo. Cantine Monfort winery’s Lagrein grapes come from the hilly area around Meano.

French oak casks for 12 months and then in bottle for further 6 months.

Intense red with violet highlights. Bouquet: distinctively fruity, bringing to mind black fruits of the forest with spicy and chocolate notes. Palate: agreeable and long-lasting with soft tannins, a good structure and persistence.
