How It's Made

VINIFICATION: Traditional fermentation of Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo from Podere Le Caggiole. Aged 24 months in large French oak casks (20-34 hL) and at least 18 months in bottle.

CHARACTERISTICS: Deep ruby-garnet. Ripe dark cherry, plum, violet, leather, spice and earthy depth. Full-bodied with fine, silky tannins and a persistent, mineral finish. Pairs with braised beef, wild boar, roasted game and mushroom dishes.
