Alcohol Policy – Age 21+ and California Law

This Alcohol Policy explains how Vinum Italia complies with California alcohol laws and age‑21 requirements for online sales and delivery.

1. Age‑21 Requirement

In California, it is illegal to sell or deliver alcohol to anyone under 21 years of age. By placing an order for alcohol through Vinum Italia, you represent that:

- You are 21 years of age or older.
- The person receiving the shipment will be 21 or older and will present a valid government‑issued photo ID at delivery.
- You are not ordering alcohol for the purpose of reselling to minors or in violation of state or federal law. 

2. Age‑Verification Process

Prior to shipping any alcoholic beverages, we may:

- Require you to enter your date of birth at checkout.
- Ask you to upload a government‑issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) or complete an automated age‑verification check through a third‑party service.
- If we cannot reasonably verify your age or if you provide false information, we may cancel your order and will not ship the product.

3. California Alcohol Law Compliance

All alcohol sales and deliveries are made in compliance with regulations administered by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), including:

- Prohibiting sales to minors.
- Proper labeling and record‑keeping for alcohol shipments.
- Use of UPS Adult Signature Required for all alcohol deliveries. 

4. Responsible Consumption

We strongly encourage responsible consumption of alcohol. You should:

- Avoid alcohol if you are pregnant, have certain medical conditions, or are taking medications that may interact with alcohol.
- Keep alcohol out of the reach of children and minors.

5. Google‑Compliant Conduct

We do not:

- Target individuals below the legal drinking age with advertising or marketing.
- Promote excessive drinking, binge drinking, or drinking competitions.
- Suggest that alcohol improves social, professional, intellectual, or athletic performance.
- Claim health or therapeutic benefits from alcohol consumption.
