From 100% Sagrantino grapes, dark ruby red in color. The olfactory impact is important which, with sour cherries, blackberries and plums, is followed by suggestive notes of graphite, licorice, juniper berries and aromatic herbs. A bit more tannic due to the vintage and the freshness is well balanced with alcohol and sugars.
Aged in wood for at least 3 years and the same number in the bottle, it is an aging wine that improves over time for over 10 years. It goes well with well-matured and spicy cheeses, noble cured meats, grilled meats and game.
