Vigne e Vini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Nerone" Riserva DOC 2020
How is Made
VINIFICATION: Made from a selection of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, this wine is subjected to a long maceration period, after which it is refined in 30 hl Slavonian Oak barrels for 30 months, followed by an in-bottle 6-month maturation period. The result is an authentic and vigorous interpretation of the Montepulciano.
CHARACTERISTICS: A deep and intense ruby red with shades of purple. This wine immerses the nose with an extraordinary breadth of mature and concentrated aromas, plums and figs integrated with notes of spice. On the palate, this wine reveals its Montepulcian origins with well-bodied and persistently powerful tannins. Excellent with very succulent first courses, as well as roast and braised meats. A great accompaniment with game, cheeses, and cured meats.
